Laboring Away…

It is very easy to get caught up in the day to day activities to the point that we are constantly busy. Especially when you add in fatigue and doctors appointments.

These last few months have been a drain emotionally, I keep wondering when things will get better and have no idea when.

Our family keeps thinking that maybe next week things will get back to normal. Only next week comes and dad is still suffering from pain and fatigue, mom’s migraines are horrid and they make her cranky. Yet, the kids still have band, jrotc, taekwondo, friends, and such so we have to press on. And somehow we do.

blackberry 072The hardest part is when the kids talk about how “Last year you were at the games” and “Are we doing belt testing yet?” then there is also, “I don’t understand why y’all didn’t come to the (fill in the blank)”. Life is not fair and we are re-learning that as we go. It’s hard sometimes.

I would love to go about life the way we did, but you know… in retrospect, I think God is using this wreck that could have killed any of us to open our eyes. Just not a hundred percent sure as to what yet.

What I do know is that we are blessed and I keep focusing on the good. Things are slowly working out. Hubs and I are making progress in recovering, we are very hopeful in the steps we are taking right now and just praying we stay on God’s path.

Just remember, sometimes looking back helps you to see how far God has brought you.
