There's only one problem with that request, there are six children that live in our house. :)
The day started out pretty good. We had done the running around yesterday, so today we only had to do two things. Those things? The softball awards for G3 and I had to run by the Post Office to get the mail for ParentsForChrist.com. Sounds simple right?
Dad spent the morning playing video games until he decided to move the CD racks in our bedroom and clean the ceiling. While he is doing this G2, G3, and B1 went out in the pool
To calm things down and to get the kids in before they were like burnt toast, we had them come in and eat lunch. Thankfully things went well, got them all settled in their rooms for quiet time.
Time slowly passed by until it was time to go to the Softball Awards. I think I have to admit I was hoping we could get out of going. It was 97' at the house where there was shade, ball fields don't have shade. But, as we are getting ready, B3 starts crying. Seems G3 told him she was going to her dad's and he didn't want her to go. She thought it was cute that he misses her; in reality, it was a sign this evening could get messy. (BACKSTORY:: G1 and G3 went to Florida with their dad June 4 - June 13, B3 couldn't sleep, he was very upset. Extremely clingy and emotional.) He was really upset and I told him she would be back tomorrow. I figured he was thinking she would be gone forever again. So, got him calmed down.
Got to the ball field, it was sweltering. Stayed long enough for her to get her trophy and then headed to get a bite. Thankfully the boys had GameBoy
At Nana's we all ate, the boys went outside to play in the "playground
Got home at bedtime, and we have been mostly relaxed. All are in bed of the kids except B3, but he don't want to go to sleep when G3 isn't here. It will all be good. :) At least Dad is getting a mostly relaxing weekend.
Happy Father's Day!!
